The Electronic Theses Online System

The Electronic Theses Online System is a service from the British Library that provides online access to the full-text of UK doctoral theses. It contains over 380,000+ records of doctoral theses from UK Higher Education Institutions. Many of these have already been digitised and are available for immediate download.

Can I request UK theses from other universities from the Library?

You no longer request theses from other universities through Sussex University's Interlibrary Requests service - you can access them directly via EThOS.

Do I need to register?

You do not need to register to search the 380,000+ records in the EThOS database, but you will need to register if you would like to download a thesis.

Caratteristiche e valutazione della prova finale per i corsi di Genova

La prova finale consiste nella discussione, dinanzi ad apposita Commissione, di un elaborato teorico e/o applicativo, realizzato dal laureando su un tema concordato con un docente di riferimento.

L'elaborato deve essere attinente a un insegnamento presente nel piano di studi e può includere esperienze maturate dal laureando durante gli studi (ad esempio: tirocinio, Erasmus), purché d'interesse per l'insegnamento. Tramite l'elaborato, lo studente deve dimostrare di avere sviluppato adeguate capacità di apprendimento che consentano di approfondire in modo autonomo una specifica tematica, utilizzando in modo appropriato il linguaggio tecnico dell'insegnamento scelto per comunicare in modo chiaro con interlocutori specialisti e non specialisti. L’elaborato può essere redatto in lingua inglese, purché accompagnato da un abstract in italiano.
